The Art & Innovation Hub Studio Natasza Deddner evolves from many years of artistic and philosophical practice. Its intellectual foundation is Scholê Kosmía, a free space for thought in which questions of perception, self understanding, identity, social structures, and the relationship between human beings and the world are explored. It is a space for reflection where connections become visible, perspectives are expanded, and the foundations for conscious attitude and action are developed.
The original idea was to create a place for Artist in Residence programmes. From this initial concept, the vision gradually evolved into a broader space where artistic practice, research, exchange, and collaborative development are brought together. This process ultimately led to the concept of the Art & Innovation Hub Studio Natasza Deddner. While Scholê Kosmía exists independently as a space of thought, the Art & Innovation Hub Studio Natasza Deddner is conceived as a physical place for encounter, research, and practical work. It provides the spatial framework in which artistic, philosophical, scientific, and craft based processes can be brought together, deepened, and further developed.
The Hub is intended for people who share a similar attitude towards their work. They engage deeply with questions, challenge established perspectives, and open new ways of seeing through their practice. Coming from different disciplines, they contribute their experience, perspectives, and methods of working in order to address the ecological, social, and technological challenges of our time and to develop new approaches for enabling a good and responsible life under changing climatic conditions. The foundation of all work is the philosophical exploration of perception, thought, and self understanding. Perception opens access to the world, reflection creates the space for contemplation, and self understanding forms the basis of attitude and action. From this process emerge ideas, questions, and artistic works that explore human existence, social structures, and the relationship between humanity and the world. The form of each work develops from the question it seeks to explore and may take many different forms of expression.
The future Hub is based on the understanding that the different dimensions of human life are interconnected and mutually dependent. Human beings exist in continuous relationship with natural, social, cultural, and technological conditions. Art, philosophy, science, architecture, craftsmanship, and technology each possess their own methods and forms of expression while constantly influencing one another.
Within this context, art represents a distinct way of perceiving and engaging with the world. Artistic processes open new perspectives, question established ways of thinking, and create unexpected connections between different fields of knowledge. In dialogue with science, technology, craftsmanship, and other disciplines, they can generate new questions, creative approaches, and collaborative forms of development. The encounter between different experiences and ways of thinking expands the possibilities for addressing complex challenges and discovering new solutions. The Hub brings together people from different disciplines and different parts of the world. Artists, researchers, architects, craftspeople, technologists, and other participants contribute their respective experience, working methods, and cultural perspectives. This international constellation creates a space in which different realities, bodies of knowledge, and approaches enter into dialogue with one another. Through this diversity, new questions, insights, and collaborative processes emerge.
The Hub is conceived as an artistic, philosophical, and applied research centre in which investigation, design, observation, and practical experience are brought together. Research develops through the direct relationship between thought, material, place, and action. Existing research is reconsidered, expanded, and placed within new contexts. At the same time, space is created for developing and testing new ideas, methods, and approaches. Whenever appropriate within the research process, prototypes may be developed, examined, refined, and presented as tangible manifestations of the work. The place itself becomes a field of research. Materials, construction methods, ecological systems, technological solutions, and forms of living together are explored, documented, and further developed. Knowledge emerges through the interplay of reflection, experimentation, and lived experience.

The planned location in Morocco forms the starting point of this development. The climatic, geographical, and cultural conditions of the place provide an essential foundation for the work. Architecture, materials, energy, water, and patterns of use are understood as interconnected systems. A central field of research lies in the investigation of climate responsive architecture, sustainable construction methods, local materials, passive climate strategies, renewable energy systems, and responsible approaches to the use of natural resources.

The development of the place itself forms part of the research process. Renovation, construction, and the continuous development of its spatial structures are understood as practical investigations into materials, techniques, and possibilities for creating sustainable environments. The materials employed, the processes undertaken, and the experiences gained are documented and provide a foundation for future developments. International residency programmes form an essential part of the future Hub. Artists, researchers, and people from different professional backgrounds will have the opportunity to live and work there for limited periods of time. Participants are selected according to the relationship between their practice and the questions explored within the Hub. These residencies foster intensive collaboration in which individual practice, exchange, and collective development become closely connected.
The Hub is intended to become a place of learning and knowledge sharing. People with different backgrounds and experiences are invited to contribute to its ongoing development. Through the combination of practical work, research, and reflection, knowledge grows through experience, dialogue, and collaboration. Craft knowledge, scientific research, artistic practice, and individual perspectives are brought into relationship with one another, enriching the shared process. The processes and knowledge that emerge are documented and preserved in an archive that records the development of the project over time. The archive, together with public events held on site, provides access to the resulting works, research processes, and findings. In this way, knowledge is preserved, shared, and made accessible for future developments. The Hub also provides a space for public dialogue. Exhibitions, conversations, presentations, and public events offer insight into the artistic works, research processes, and findings while encouraging exchange with diverse audiences.

The Art & Innovation Hub Studio Natasza Deddner is currently in its development phase. Its realization will evolve gradually through planning, collaboration, research, artistic practice, and international exchange. As a physical extension of Scholê Kosmía, the Hub provides a place where perception, thought, research, and creation come together, opening new perspectives on humanity, society, and the environment.
